Each test draws 24 scenarios from a 120-question bank — six for each of four preference dimensions. Every question is a realistic dating moment: how you recover after a date, what makes a conversation feel alive, how you handle a plan falling through. Each answer visibly moves one dimension, so you can see your result form as you go.

How it works
Transparent scoring, private results
Each scenario offers four responses scored −2, −1, +1, or +2 on one dimension. Scores are summed and normalized within each dimension, and the live bars show direction and strength — not population percentiles. At the end you get your four-letter dating personality plus a personal guide built from patterns across your answers, which EchoSim calls Dating Signals.
EchoSim Dating Personality Test uses the same four preference pairs identified in the Myers-Briggs® type framework, but it is an independent, dating-focused assessment: its questions, scoring, and guides were developed by EchoSim, and it is not the official MBTI® assessment and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Myers & Briggs Foundation or The Myers-Briggs Company. Yes. The test is completely free, requires no account or email, and runs entirely in your browser.
How long does the dating personality test take?
The test presents 24 scenario questions and most people finish in 5–7 minutes. You can skip any question and revisit answers before or after seeing your result.
Is this the official MBTI® test?
No. The EchoSim Dating Personality Test uses the same four preference pairs identified in the Myers-Briggs® type framework, but its questions, scoring, and guides were developed by EchoSim specifically for dating. Are my answers private?
Yes. Answers are stored only in your browser's local storage. EchoSim receives zero answers, scores, or results — nothing is sent to a server.
Can my dating personality change?
Yes. Each dimension is a continuum, not a fixed category. The live bars show which side your current answers favor, and you can retake the test whenever your patterns feel different.
